The first test.

The efforts to counteract the negative impact of the number and deaths are not proportional to what people in Mexico live day to day. Daily we read bad news and more deaths, another dramatic and horrific number on the paper and it seems that nothing else happens in Mexico. Yet, Mexico is such a lovely country with so many good qualities to talk about. We are convinced that the only way to defeat the bad effect that this has caused on Mexico is by taking action and stimulating positive acts on people. So, this is why we have considered art to do so.

On May 7th, 2011 Diego installed 100 portraits of 1.35×2.50m in the streets in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. More than 50% of these portraits remain.

On November 26th and 28th 2011 Diego repeated this in Matamoros and San Fernando, Tamaulipas, respectively.

Now, a new goal has been set: install at least 2,000 portraits simultaneously across Mexico in at least 30 states that are missing. Or better yet, the whole 32 states.
